Front Range Network

The rail lines connecting The Denver Terminal Railway and Sur Rail have established a vital network through the Front Range, linking the metropolitan hubs of Denver, Albuquerque, and the regions in between into a unified system. With BNSF Railway ceasing operations over Raton Pass, the western lines have become increasingly critical to the economies of Colorado and New Mexico.

This network offers multiple connections to both BNSF Railway and Union Pacific Railroad, providing customers within the Front Range Network seamless access to broader markets. As a result, it’s not uncommon to see Denver Terminal Railway trains operating on the Arvada Western, or cars from other railroads such as the Michigan Interstate or Texas & Great Northern cars utilizing the network to reach customers.
